Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer.
The 28-year-old has been a standout star for the Bees since joining the club from Peterborough United in 2020. Toney’s goals have propelled Brentford to the Premier League and in 2022/23 the forward became hot property when he scored 20 goals in 33 Premier League appearances.
However, his momentum took a turn for the worst last season when he was banned by the FA over gambling offences. He returned to the Brentford squad in January and in preparation for his return stressed he wanted a move to a ‘bigger club’ in the summer.
