Arsenal have been admirers of Nico Williams for some time now but a move to Emirates Stadium this summer never appeared likely. The Athletic Bilbao forward’s stock rose even higher following his impressive Euro 2024 performances and this resulted in Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain entering the race alongside the Gunners to sign the 22-year-old.
Since scoring against England in the Euro 2024 final on July 14, Williams has been enjoying some down time ahead of the 2024/25 season starting in a couple weeks time. Interestingly, judging by his social media activity, it appears that Williams has returned to Pamplona, the city in northern Spain where he was born.
