Manchester United’s move for Noussair Mazraoui is dependent on Wan Bissaka’s proposed transfer to West Ham United, while Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director has provided the club’s stance on Matthijs de Ligt
United have already completed some high-profile transfers this summer with Leny Yoro arriving at Old Trafford for a fee of £52m. However, excitement has subdued somewhat due to a recent injury expected to keep him on the sidelines for around three months. Striker Rasmus Hojlund has also suffered an injury during pre-season preparations in the US, which is thought to keep him out for six weeks.
Despite this, United do have alternatives. Notably, new signing Joshua Zirkze e can slot into the vacant centre-forward’s position with the Dutchman expected to be given a run in the side as a result of Hojlund’s injury. Erik ten Hag will be desperate to improve on last year’s Premier League campaign in which United finished a record low eighth but did enjoy FA Cup success beating Manchester City in May.
With the new season less than three weeks away, the United boss will be keen to get any potential deals over the line before the season’s curtain-raiser against Fulham on Friday 16 August at Old Trafford.
