Arsenal continue to be linked with a host of names after signing Riccardo Calafiori with names such as Victor Osimhen and Mikel Merino among the contenders who could move to North London
Arsenal are determined to add to their squad heading into the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta ’s side have already been busy. They at first secured the permanent signing of Spanish goalkeeper David Raya following his loan spell last summer.
The Gunners have also moved for Euro 2024 star Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna. Arsenal are not expected to stop there, with a midfielder and a striker among their targets for the rest of the window.
Arsenal still eyeing Osimhen
While PSG and Chelsea look to be among the favourites to potentially make a move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, it appears that Arsenal are not ready to admit defeat quite yet. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Gunners are still keeping tabs on him.
It is suggested that the Nigerian is a long-term target but there is still plenty of work to do. Osimhen’s preference on any move is sure to be taken into account, while added competition complicates things further. Chelsea are reportedly attempting to thrash out a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku.
PSG are also interested in but a deal appears to be too expensive at the current time. Osimhen, 25, has two years remaining on his contract with current side Napoli.
