Manchester United marked their return to San Diego with a 3-2 win against Real Betis at the Snapdragon Stadium.
Marcus Rashford, Amad and Casemiro scored after Iker Losada put Real Betis in front following an error by Tom Heaton. Diego Llorente pulled one back for Betis in the second half.
United’s win was a much-needed morale booster after it emerged new signing Leny Yoro has been ruled out for three months and striker Rasmus Hojlund is sidelined for six weeks.
Yoro fractured his metatarsal in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles on Saturday while Hojlund was forced off 16 minutes into the friendly with a hamstring injury.
Hojlund is expected to miss the first four games of the season against Manchester City in the Community Shield, the Premier League opening fixture against Fulham at home, Brighton away and Liverpool at home.
