Manchester United have multiple midfield options this summer as the club are keen to bolster the middle of the pitch.
A prospective move for Manuel Ugarte, their preferred target, has yet to move forward. Adrien Rabiot and Martin Zubimendi are alternatives under consideration should there be no progress towards a deal with Paris Saint-Germain to sign the Uruguay international.
Sofyan Amrabat is also under consideration despite United not exercising the option to buy in the deal that brought him to the club last season. However, another player who spent last season in the Premier League could be an alternative to contemplate signing.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea want a deal worth around £30million, including add-ons, for Conor Gallagher. Negotiations are said to be taking place with Atletico Madrid, but that price may tempt United into a move. That fee is considerably cheaper than what PSG reputedly want for Ugarte.
