‘I’m hearing’: Arsenal are very close to signing ‘amazing’ player, they’ve almost agreed a fee – journalist

Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal has become something of a transfer saga this summer, but it looks as though we’re close to reaching a conclusion on this story.

Indeed, speaking on KS1TV, Steve Kay has claimed that Arsenal should end up getting this Calafiori deal over the line.
The journalist says that while people are panicking about this deal, he’s hearing that it should still get over the line, stating that the gap in valuation is only small and that it should be ironed out.

Kay shared what he knows about the ‘amazing’ player.
“I’ve seen people panicking saying there’s doubt with the deal. All I can say from what I’m hearing is that there isn’t that much of a gap between the two,” Kay said.
“It’s not something that can’t be resolved. It’s just small pieces that have to be finalised and as far as I know this deal will get over the line. It’s not like a £10m/20m price gap. You’re talking more like £5m and a disagreement over the amount of time that it’s going to be paid.”
Arsenal need to bed Calafiori in during pre-season, while Bologna need to sign a replacement.
In both instances, time is of the essence, and it would suit all parties if this deal were to be thrashed out soon and sealed before pre-season properly gets going.
Luckily, it does sound as though Arsenal are close to getting this deal done, and it may not be long before there’s some official and concrete movement on this front.
Calafiori could be Arsenal’s first big-money signing of the summer.
