A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has today secured for himself a prestigious individual prize.
The accolade in question? Champions League Player of the Week.
Barca, of course, marked their return to action on the continent this past Wednesday, in a quarter-final first-leg meeting with Paris Saint-Germain.
When all was said and done, Xavi’s troops emerged on the right side of the result, securing a 3-2 advantage to take back to Catalunya for the tie’s 2nd leg.
And front and centre en route to as much was wide-man Raphinha.
The Brazilian international netted both his side’s first and 2nd of the night at the Parc des Princes, with the latter having come by way of a sumptuous volleyed finish.
And, on Friday, such exploits on Raphinha’s part have been aptly recognised.
