The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, is set to be gifted a personalised Arsenal shirt.
In somewhat random news, it has been revealed that the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, will today be presented with an Arsenal shirt.
The news has been revealed by journalist Chris Wheatley, who confirmed that the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, will present President Biden with an Arsenal shirt when the pair meet at the White House, adorned with the number 46 on the back, because he is the 46th President of the United States.
While it may appear very random at a glance, Starmer is well known to be a massive Arsenal fan, and is regularly spotted at both home and away games, although that may be more difficult now that he is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
In an interview with Arsenal Fan TV, Starmer has previously spoken about how he manages to regularly attend so many Arsenal games, despite his hectic schedule as the leader of the Labour Party and, then, leader of the opposition.
He said: “Time is a hard thing to find, the only way I can make it work is, as soon as the fixtures come out, I get my diary team to put them all in.”
He continued: “Then I’ve got another diary team that monitors when they get moved, so we can get it in really, really early. So that is the only way, and that is how I get to most of the home games.”
He also conceded that mid-week games and late changes can scupper his plans: “If they get moved at the last minute it makes it difficult. And the midweek Champions League games will be good but that’ll be a bit more tricky.
