Arsenal look like they’re pressing the go button on their transfer plans for this summer as they now chase another signing alongside Riccardo Calafiori.
The Gunners are locked in talks with Bologna to sign Calafiori and it’s suggested things are moving in the right direction on that deal.
Indeed, reports from today have said that Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal for the Italian and all that is left is for the clubs to iron out the terms of the fee and payment structure.
However, not content with just making the one signing, Arsenal are now also looking to strengthen the squad elsewhere.
And according to reports, that has led them to enquire about signing a current Premier League player.
Arsenal approach Wolves over signing Dan Bentley
According to The Athletic, Arsenal have approached Wolves with the idea of signing Dan Bentley to bolster the goalkeeping ranks.
Bentley is the number two at Wolves at the moment and is a key part of Gary O’Neil’s squad at the moment.

It’s claimed in the report that Arsenal like the idea of signing Bentley as they look to add experience and quality to an already strong goalkeeping department.
David Raya is the number one, while Aaron Ramsdale is the number two. Youngster Karl Hein is also on the books, meaning Bentley would give Mikel Arteta a fourth option.
Of course, Ramsdale could well leave The Emirates in search of first-team football and clubs like Newcastle are keen on the England man.
The ‘outstanding‘ Bentley, then, could be an experienced and steady option who is happy to be a number two.
Wolves only paid around £50,000 to sign Bentley in the first place but they are only looking to sell if they receive a substantial offer, according to this report.
