Man United will finally confirm dream £175m transfer raid as AI predicts busy summer window

Manchester United have been tipped to bring to an end one of their longest transfer sagas this summer by artificial intelligence.

The Red Devils’ summer transfer window has yet to pick up a head of steam just yet but it is clear United will be looking to make additions to their team sooner rather than later. This summer marks Ineos’ first in charge of football operations and Sir Jim Ratcliffe is well aware of the priorities on Erik ten Hag’s agenda.

Speaking to the press immediately after the FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City, Ten Hag admitted he wanted to strengthen the core of the squad with central defence, midfield and forwards on his wishlist. Reds will certainly tick off a couple of those ambitions.

Their technology predicts United’s biggest summer signing of the window will be Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. Those with good memory will remember Ten Hag trying desperately to tempt his former Ajax midfielder to Old Trafford during his first window in charge.

However, United ultimately failed in their push to prise the Dutchman away from Camp Nou. It is claimed the Reds will pay £72m to bring De Jong to the Premier League and alleviate some pressure on central midfield.

Meanwhile, the Reds have been backed by the technology to complete a £50m purchase of Ben White from Arsenal. The former Leeds and Brighton star has previously played as a centre-back but has been pushed to right-back by Mikel Arteta thanks to the superb form of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba.
