Marcus Rashford is among the most valuable players currently belonging to Manchester United, but rumours are that he could be sold.
An academy graduate and a bonafide world-class player, Marcus Rashford is quite rightly valued highly by the footballing world and if he were to be sold this summer, it would cost an arm and a leg.
Despite a pretty horrendous 2023/24 campaign for the 26-year-old forward, he is still regarded as one of Europe’s most dangerous players as his 30-goal tally in 2022/23 showed.
But after a bad season for Manchester United in which things took a turn for the worse, Ineos are mulling over whether to keep him or not as PSG looks like the most interested party.
Now, it’s been reported the price United would demand in order to let Rashford who earns £375k-a-week, depart this summer.

Rashford hasn’t looked like a man who has enjoyed his football during the past year for Manchester United, often cutting a frustrated figure in red.
If Rashford is to depart Old Trafford this summer, it seems fairly likely that the destination will be Paris considering the Ligue 1 side has long held an interest in the Carrington graduate and are this summer looking to replace Kylian Mbappe after his switch to Real Madrid.
United value Rashford at around £80 million according to a report from the Manchester Evening News.
This is a fee which seems more than fair for all parties involved if a deal is reached – something which could happen fairly quickly if all parties are set on making it happen.
The report also adds that the fee would be huge for United in terms of PSR and likely open the door to a summer window which many would have dreamt of under Ineos.
What should United do with Marcus Rashford?
It’s a tough one to firmly decide one way or another over Rashford’s future as on one hand he’s an academy graduate who has 131 goals in 402 appearances for the club.
But on the other hand, on recent form, there’s no space for him in the team with Alejandro Garnacho one of the first names on the teamsheet and Amad Diallo’s importance rising.
When he’s in form, Rashford can be a top-five player in world football, but for United, the question will be whether does he do it enough. While Rashford will be asking himself if he wants to persist at the club after a bad year.
Whatever Ineos and Rashford decide, hopefully, 2024/25 sees Rashford back at his sparkling best regardless of whether it’s at United or PSG.
