Arsenal have reportedly become the latest club to express interest in Mikayil Faye as speculation over the defender’s Barcelona future continues.
FC Porto are keen on Faye but seem to be struggling to come up with a price that would be acceptable to Barcelona.
HITC report that Barca have agreed terms with Porto but the deal has stalled because the Catalans are “insisting on €15m plus a buy-back clause of a similar value.”
The report adds the Gunners “have asked” about Faye as they would like to add another defender in the summer transfer window.
There’s also a suggestion Arsenal have been tracking Faye for a little while and have liked what they have seen from the defender.
However, chances of a deal being done look to be slim. Arsenal also aren’t keen on allowing Barca a buy-back clause – something the Catalans seem determined to be put in place
