Erik ten Hag brought a number of signings to Manchester United last summer and three of them swapped life in Italy for a switch to the Premier League.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana and midfielder Sofyan Amrabat reunited with Ten Hag, leaving Inter Milan and Fiorentina respectively having played under the Dutchman in the Eredivisie.

The Italian market certainly looked appealing for United last summer and we could see a repeat of that approach in the coming weeks and months.

United are already looking to sign one player from Serie A’s surprise package Bologna.

United have seemingly been impressed and are already trying to snap up Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
Reports suggest that United are now leading the race for Zirkzee and are ready to pay the £34million release clause in contract.
United may actually want a double raid on Bologna though having also targeted a move to sign winger Dan Ndoye alongside Zirkzee.
Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio now claims that United have ‘tested the waters’ for Ndoye, requesting information about a potential deal.
It’s suggested that United made first contact about a transfer ‘immediately’ after Ndoye scored against Germany in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Who is United target Ndoye?
Ndoye hails from Nyon in Switzerland and his upbringing in the game is heavily influenced by Ineos – the new decision-makers at Old Trafford.
Ndoye came up in the ranks of Ineos-owned Lausanne-Sport in his native Switzerland, showing major potential as a teenager.
Unsurprisingly, Ineos had a big say in his next move, switching him over to fellow Ineos-owned club Nice in 2020.
That move didn’t really work out and after returning to Switzerland with Basel, Bologna pounced to sign Ndoye last summer.
It is therefore no great surprise that Ineos are now interested in Ndoye once again, this time with a view to bringing him over to Manchester.
Ndoye possesses incredible versatility, featuring as a winger, wing back and even striker for club and country.
Ndoye has caused real problems at Euro 2024 and UEFA’s tracking ranks him as the third-fastest player at the tournament with a top speed of 35.6 kilometres per hour.
That is just ahead of Rasmus Hojlund and even faster than Kylian Mbappe, so Ndoye is quite the threat with his speed.
Prising Ndoye away from Bologna may not be easy but United are seemingly interested in a double raid on Bologna this summer.
