Barcelona have a big decision to make on Mikayil Faye this summer but his versatility could see him end up staying at the club.
The Catalans are thought to have received offers already for the youngster but are said to be “reluctant” to let him go.
Mundo Deportivo have now highlighted how his versatility, could help him stay, as he may be an option to play at left-back next season.
Barcelona are set to wave goodbye to Marcos Alonso which, as things stand, just leaves Alex Valle to play back-up to Alejandro Balde.
Meanwhile, there are also some doubts over Inigo Martinez’s continuity. As things stand, he’s not registered for next season and an exit hasn’t been completely ruled out.
If Martinez were to move on, then Faye could take his place in the squad as the only left-footed center-back – with the added possibility of deputising at left-back when needed.
