Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal has revealed he has spoken to new coach Hansi Flick already.
The forward, who is currently with Spain at Euro 2024, says the German sent him a good luck message ahead of the team’s opening match against Croatia.
“I spoke with him before the game. He told me good luck, that he was looking forward to the season starting and I told him the same thing,” he told Cope.
Yamal also spoke about the differences of playing for Barcelona under Xavi and the Spain team with boss Luis de la Fuente.
“The coaches’ playing style is very different. They try to give you different things. Xavi was much more intense and Luis de la Fuente gives me more talks and is calmer.”
Yamal became the youngest player to feature at a European Championship, and provide an assist, when Spain opened up with victory over Croatia.
La Roja are back in action on Thursday when they take on defending champions Italy.
