Arsenal willing to pay £63m for ‘world-class’ Benjamin Sesko alternative

Arsenal are trying their best to sign a new forward this summer and could now be willing to shell out more than £60m for one of the best around.

The Gunners just fell short in the race for the title last season once again but are ready to go into the market again and add further quality to the ranks.

Mikel Arteta managed to get away with playing Kai Havertz through the middle for much of last season and called upon the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard at times as well.

However, a new, direct number nine is believed to still be on the radar of the Gunners.

And according to reports from Italy, Arsenal are willing to shell out big money to sign one of Serie A’s best.

Arsenal willing to pay £63m to sign Victor Osimhen

According to a report from Calcio Napoli, which features quotes from Italian journalist, Valter De Maggio, the Gunners really like Osimhen.

However, while Napoli value him at over £100m, Arsenal are ready to pay around £63m for the Nigerian.

“From what we understand, despite the monstrous offer from the Arab league, Victor does not want to go to Saudi Arabia. And Arsenal in the Premier League don’t value him at €120m, but rather just over half: €75m,” De Maggio said.

Quite whether Arsenal would see a bid that low accepted, remains to be seen.

However, the ‘world-class‘ Osimhen is thought to be open to making a move this summer and the Gunners are obviously putting themselves in the mix to sign him.

Arsenal, of course, thought they were close to signing Benjamin Sesko, before he committed his future to RB Leipzig.

Osimhen a game change for Arsenal

There are a few players in the world who would get into any team in the world and Victor Osimhen is among them.

The Nigerian forward has blazed a trail through France and then Italy in the last few seasons and the next logical destination for him seems to be England.

If Arsenal can somehow land one of the best forwards in the world, just like Man City did with Erling Haaland, then they suddenly become a different beast.

Osimhen is that good and if he signs for the Gunners, they might just overhaul City and finally get over the line.
