Arteta make FINAL £60m midfielder decision – Arsenal WILL TRY sign £53M man – Arsenal will get £43M answer in days

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today

Arsenal could ‘try again’ to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in this summer’s transfer window.

Arsenal were looking to add a few more players to the side during the last summer window and were heavily linked with a move for the impressive Zubimendi – who has been very good over in La Liga over the past few seasons

In the end however, ARSENAL FC made the decision to move for a few other players and opted to not splash the £53 million it would have taken to bring Zubimendi to the Premier League.
Barcelona are also keen but their financial troubles have allowed Arsenal sporting director Edu to take an ‘aggressive’ approach. The north Londoners reportedly made contact with Zubimendi’s entourage and were reportedly dangerously close to a potential deal for the star according to Sport.

A move has not happened – But Journalist Ben Jacobs exclusively told GIVEMESPORT that Zubimendi is just one of many options that are on the club’s long-standing list of reinforcements.

‘Whether Arsenal believe that he complements Rice or not remains to be seen – but if they do, they are likely to reinvest their interest in the imposing defensive midfielder. Jacobs said:

“We’ll wait and see on the Arsenal front what they decide to do, but there’s nothing advanced there at this point. I think, in terms of Arsenal’s midfield, a lot of the targets that they’ll consider are long standing. Particularly Martin Zubimendi, who, again, if they define [Declan] Rice in a way that complements the signing of Zubimendi, that could be one that they try again for.”

SESKO DECISION COMING

Arsenal are waiting on RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko’s decision on whether he is leaving the Bundesliga giants this summer.

Having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City, Arteta and Edu Gaspar will be looking to bolster their squad in a number of departments ahead of the new season.

It is no secret that adding a new striker to that attack over the course of the summer window is something that the Gunners board are keen on doing, and Sesko is one of the clubs top transfer targets.

Now – according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Sesko’s suitors will get his answer in the coming days.

It is thought that the striker favours a move to the Gunners, but the Premier League giants will have to balance who they bring in given their desire to strengthen their midfield.

He said: “In the next days, the situation of Benjamin Sesko will become CLEAR.

“The player will make a decision on his future. As of today, I can guarantee 100 per cent that not even Sesko himself knows where he will play next season.”

“The first step has to be to inform Leipzig of his decision. He has to decide whether he wants to be the superstar of Leipzig for one more season or to leave immediately.”

“He has three proposals from the Premier League – Chelsea, Manchester United & Arsenal – these three clubs have already approached Sesko & presented their project. Now it’s on the player.”

ONANA DECISION MADE

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and transfer chief Edu have made a final decision on Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

And with questions being asked of Thomas Partey’s future at Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta is ready to reinforce his engine room. Onana is a proven performer in the English top flight, while also collecting nine senior international caps with Belgium.

According to a recent report from Football Insider, Everton are reportedly prepared to sell Amadou Onana in the summer amid interest from Premier League giants Arsenal.

The Gunners are currently prioritising the signing of Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz but they remain interested in roping Onana if they are able to get him for the right amount of money.

But according to the Mirror ARSENAL will not make an offer for the £60,000,000 Belgium international as he isn’t viewed as the right fit for Arteta’s system.
