Lamar teased the audience before performing “Not Like Us,” hinting at Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music Group and Spotify. The lawsuit reportedly involves defamation allegations and claims of inflated streaming numbers related to Lamar’s diss track.
Serena Williams, who is from Compton like Lamar, joined him on stage and danced to “Not Like Us”. This appearance drew attention, especially considering Williams’ past rumoured relationship with Drake.

Williams and Drake reportedly dated in 2011. The rapper, per speculation, referred to theie relationship in his single “Too Good”. He also mentioned that he ensures songs about women are ones they’d appreciate. Williams is now married to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, and they have a daughter.
Serena Williams wasn’t the only person on stage with a past connection to Drake, SZA also briefly dated Drake in 2009. She described the relationship as a youthful, casual experience. When asked if Drake was a bad kisser, SZA avoided a direct answer.
