As for Alcaraz, he aims to continue adjusting to the fast-paced conditions in Rotterdam as he prepares to face Andrea Vavassori in the second round, scheduled for Thursday at 19:30. Vavassori, a specialist in doubles, capitalized on Felix Auger-Aliassime’s withdrawal in the opening match. The Italian took the first set to a tie-break before claiming the second, leading to Auger-Aliassime’s decision to retire from the tournament. Currently ranked 317 in the world, Vavassori primarily competes in doubles.
