The Georgia Bulldogs are heading into the 2025 college football season looking to get back in rhythm after suffering an early-round loss in the College Football Playoff.
Georgia finished the 2024 season with an 11-3 record. They entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 2 seed in the postseason, suffering a loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the CFP quarterfinals.
Following the season, the Bulldogs’ 2025 schedule received major changes.
Georgia was set to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on rivalry weekend, with the first matchup scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025.
On Monday, the Bulldogs announced that the matchup between Georgia and Georgia Tech will be played on Black Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, per Kevin Kelley at SicEmDawgs.
The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will be playing their second straight rivalry game on Black Friday.
The two teams faced off on Black Friday during the 2024 season, which led to a 44-42 eight-overtime victory for the Bulldogs.
Georgia leads the all-time series against Georgia Tech 72-41. The Bulldogs currently have a seven-game win streak against the Yellow Jackets, dating back to 2017.
