Arsenal will welcome the return of two players from injury when they face Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
The Gunners will face the Croatian club in their seventh league phase fixture of the Champions League on Wednesday night. Arsenal go into the game on the back of a disappointing draw with Aston Villa in the Premier League at the weekend.
The clash against Zagreb will be Arsenal’s first Champions League fixture since December 12, as the league phase of the competition nears its conclusion. With 13 points from their first six matches, the Gunners can almost secure a spot in the last-16 with victory at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Ethan Nwaneri and Riccardo Calafiori will return to the matchday squad for the clash against Zagreb. Nwaneri has been sidelined with a muscle injury he suffered in the draw with Brighton earlier this month, a game that also saw him on the score sheet at the Amex Stadium.
Calafiori has not featured in any of Arsenal’s last three matches due to a fitness issue. However, Arteta has confirmed that the Italy international, along with Nwaneri, has returned to training and is in contention to feature against Zagreb.
