Barcelona faced off against Jose Bordalas’ Getafe late on Saturday night in a league clash the team has loathed for years.
After all, the team’s last goal at Coliseum Alfonso Perez ahead of kickoff was back in 2019 and the team was winless in its last four appearances at the stadium.
On this occasion, however, it did not take long for Barcelona to take the early lead through Jules Kounde. However, Getafe found a surprising equaliser in the first half to force the game into another decisive deadlock.
The second half was tightly contemplating as both managers made tactical changes to outdo the other. However, it eventually boiled down to a goalless half and saw the two teams split the spoils.

Inaki Pena: 8
The Spanish youngster returned to his duty as Barcelona’s league goalkeeper and did not have a busy first half although he was called into action for Getafe’s equaliser.
Did well to stop the initial shot but could not do much about the rebound.
Alejandro Balde: 7.5
The left-back continued his upward trend and had a good game at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, tormenting the hosts with his pace and trickery down the left.
Played a key role in the opening goal with a shimmy down the left flank to find Pedri in space and always threatened on the counterattack.
Pau Cubarsi: 7
The youngster dished out another mature performance on the first anniversary of his debut for the first team. With Inigo Martinez out, he took up more responsibility for the buildup phase in addition to his defensive duties.
Ronald Araujo: 7
The captain kept up his good run of form and was impressive with his distribution as well.
His direct style of defence was largely well-suited against Getafe’s physical style of play albeit there was not much he could do to deny the hosts’ equaliser which came off a rebound.
