Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are serious about stacking their safety room after losing Malak Starks to the 2025 NFL Draft along with Dan Jackson.
A 6’3 and 200-pound defensive back from Conyers, GA totaled 114 tackles, three interceptions, 15 passes defended, 4 forced fumbles, and three sacks in three seasons between Alabama State and UAB.
Maddox, who was initially committed to Florida before flipping to Georgia, is the third safety to join the Bulldogs from the NCAA transfer portal.
Georgia also officially locked in USC transfer safety Zion Branch on Monday and Miami transfer safety Jaden Harris on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs are now stacked at the safety position with rising sophomore KJ Bolden and junior Joenel Aguero returning next year, and three incoming four-star freshmen safeties joining the team this spring.
