Serena Williams has sparked a frenzy among tennis enthusiasts with her latest video showing her hitting the courts, prompting calls for her to reverse her retirement decision.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner, who stepped back from the sport two years ago, had previously expressed to Vogue her intention to “evolve away from tennis” and focus on family expansion, stating she didn’t want to choose between her career and family life.

Yet, not long after, Williams teased fans with the possibility of a return, affirming, “I am not retired. The chances [of a return] are very high. You can come to my house, I have a court.”

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Williams shared a clip in the small hours of Saturday morning, showcasing her skillful returns on the court, accompanied by the caption: “When you.

Fans are clamoring for a comeback, with one commenting: “Please come back! Your game is so missed.” Another tennis fan added fuel to the fire, posting: “COME BACK AND WIN 10 MORE SLAMS.”

Adoration poured in as one fan expressed: “We miss you so much queen,” and another urged: “Girl I keep telling you to give us one more year or two.”

Numerous fans echoed these sentiments, but whether Williams will re-enter the professional arena is uncertain. Earlier this year, she disclosed her longing for competition, asserting that a return is perpetually on her thoughts.

During Wimbledon, Williams divulged to Vanity Fair, “Oh my God, I just can’t right now. I miss it. I think that’s normal. It’s normal to miss something that you’ve done since the day you were born.”

“I think as long as I’m healthy, that’s always going to be in the back of my mind. I stay fit. I stay healthy. When I’m watching, it’s like, ‘Okay, well, you could be out there too’.”
