The Aaron Rodgers debate will presumably commence once the New York Jets hire a new general manager, or, perhaps, owner Woody Johnson’s mind is already made.
Whether or not the Jets ask the 41-year-old Rodgers back for another season remains to be seen, but one player has made it clear where he stands on the issue

Presumably attempting to rally Jets’ fans behind the aging quarterback, a social media influencer recently called the Green & White X community into action and defensive end Jermaine Johnson responded.

“If you want @AaronRodgers12 back #Jets fans, let him know ,” said Harrison Glaser on X.

Johnson reposted the call-to-action and said “I did.”

The 25-year-old Johnson has been on Injured Reserve since tearing his Achilles in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. The 2022 first-round draft pick was coming off a Pro Bowl appearance as a sophomore.

Rodgers can obviously relate to Johnson as the quarterback tore his Achilles in the 2023 season opener. The future Hall-of-Fame field general made an attempt to console Johnson after the injury.

“I just told him I love him and told him I was sorry,” said Rodgers.
