Five members of Xavi’s Barcelona squad will be forced to walk the disciplinary tightrope in the club’s upcoming meeting with Real Sociedad.
This comes with all five at risk of a La Liga suspension.
Barca are set to mark their return to action next Monday night, in a meeting with the aforementioned Sociedad at Montjuïc.
After slipping to defeat at the hands of Girona last time out, Barcelona find themselves in third spot, a point back of their Catalan neighbours.
Safe to say, then, that boss Xavi will no doubt be eager to field as strong an XI as possible in three days’ time.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts to contribute towards a bounce-back result, five such members of the Blaugrana’s squad will need to watch their step.
The quintet in question comes in the form of İlkay Gündogan, Andreas Christensen, Oriol Romeu, Sergi Roberto, and Jules Koundé.
Should any of the above pick up a yellow card against Real Sociedad, they will be suspended for Barca’s ensuing outing against Almería.
