An Arsenal midfielder has now agreed a move away from the Emirates Stadium, according to a recent report.
Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu Gaspar will be working on a number of deals this summer as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title.
The pair will also be deciding who to offload as all Premier League clubs will likely need to trade to comply with Profit and Sustainability regulations.
With that said, one Arsenal player is set to depart the club after agreeing a move to a Spanish side.
According to the Daily Mail, via Sky Sports Paper Talk, Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has agreed a move to La Liga giants Sevilla.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a productive season-long loan at Luton Town last season but Arteta has evidently deemed him surplus to requirements.
Lokonga has two years left on his contract at The Emirates, so Sevilla are expected to pay a decent fee for his signature.
There has been no confirmation on how much the deal is worth at this stage but considering Arsenal outlaid £17m to sign him in 2021, they’ll likely want to recoup most of that fee.
Fabio Vieira and Aaron Ramsdale face uncertain futures
Fabio Vieira and Aaron Ramsdale could also be departing North London this summer as they face uncertain futures of their own.
Ramsdale lost his place to David Raya last term and won’t want to be second choice for another season whilst Vieira hasn’t really had any impact since arriving from Porto in 2022.
The 24-year-old made just 11 Premier League appearances last year with only two of them coming from the first whistle.
Vieira may end up staying, though, as suitors could be few and far between due to his probable price tag.
