Manchester United’s summer has been more positive than many would have considered to be possible prior to the FA Cup final.
Erik ten Hag finds himself in a new position of power at the club having received the backing of Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Meanwhile, fans have been encouraged by the sensible appointments in the boardroom including Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox.
Two promising signings have also been completed with Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee moving to Old Trafford. Donny van de Beek has been sold while some wage space has been saved thanks to Raphael Varane’s departure at the back end of last season.
